WOCA Maintenance Oil – How to Use

Before you start: Product, room and floor temperature should be between 15–35 °C. Keep the room well ventilated throughout both application and drying. Test on a small, inconspicuous area first to check the result.

Clean the floor
Clean the floor with 125 ml Intensive Wood Cleaner mixed into 2.5 L of water, then let it dry for at least 7–8 hours. The floor must be completely dry before oiling.

Shake well
Shake the container well before use.

Apply the oil
Apply approx. 1 dl per 4 m² using a pad, a short-pile paint roller (3–4 mm), or – on slightly larger areas – a buffing machine with a white or beige pad.

Buff it in
Make sure the oil is carefully buffed into the wood. Keep polishing until the wood looks saturated and the surface has a uniform appearance.

Remove excess & continue
Wipe the floor with clean, dry cotton cloths before moving on to the next section. The floor shouldn't look wet, and no excess oil should be left on the surface after polishing. Repeat section by section until the whole floor is done.
Curing & aftercare: Machine-buffed floors are pre-hardened after 4 hours and can be used with care; hand-buffed floors after 24–48 hours. Don't expose the floor to water during the curing period of the first 3 days, and don't clean it during this time either.
