WOCA Diamond Oil Active – How to Use

Before you start: The wood must be freshly sanded, finishing with grit 100–120. Product, room and floor temperature should be between 15–30 °C; ventilate well while applying and during drying. Test on a small, inconspicuous area first to check the result.
1
Clean the floor
Clean the floor with Intensive Wood Cleaner and let it dry for at least 24 hours at 20 °C before oiling.
2
Shake well
Shake the Diamond Oil Active container thoroughly before and during use. Mix containers with different batch numbers beforehand to avoid colour variation.
3
Apply the oil
Apply the oil evenly and generously over 5–10 m² using a short-pile paint roller, a floor applicator, or an oil roller.
4
Let it soak in
Leave it to absorb for at least 10–15 minutes; re-oil any dry spots directly.
5
Buff it in
Buff the oil into the wood until the surface looks saturated. Use a buffing machine with a beige pad for larger areas, or a polishing cloth/pad by hand for smaller ones.
6
Remove the excess
Remove excess oil with dry, lint-free cotton cloths until the surface no longer looks wet.
For an even better finish: For a particularly attractive finish and higher resistance, the floor can be polished again 8–10 hours after the first coat with an extra 1 dl of Diamond Oil Active per 10 m² – following the same process described in steps 5–6.
Walkability: The floor can be walked on carefully after 24 hours.
Tool cleaning: Clean tools with WOCA Solvent or turpentine.
