WOCA Diamond Oil Active – How to Use

Before you start: The wood must be freshly sanded, finishing with grit 100–120. Product, room and floor temperature should be between 15–30 °C; ventilate well while applying and during drying. Test on a small, inconspicuous area first to check the result.

Clean the floor
Clean the floor with Intensive Wood Cleaner and let it dry for at least 24 hours at 20 °C before oiling.

Shake well
Shake the Diamond Oil Active container thoroughly before and during use. Mix containers with different batch numbers beforehand to avoid colour variation.

Apply the oil
Apply the oil evenly and generously over 5–10 m² using a short-pile paint roller, a floor applicator, or an oil roller.

Let it soak in
Leave it to absorb for at least 10–15 minutes; re-oil any dry spots directly.

Buff it in
Buff the oil into the wood until the surface looks saturated. Use a buffing machine with a beige pad for larger areas, or a polishing cloth/pad by hand for smaller ones.

Remove the excess
Remove excess oil with dry, lint-free cotton cloths until the surface no longer looks wet.
For an even better finish: For a particularly attractive finish and higher resistance, the floor can be polished again 8–10 hours after the first coat with an extra 1 dl of Diamond Oil Active per 10 m² – following the same process described in steps 5–6.
Walkability: The floor can be walked on carefully after 24 hours.
Tool cleaning: Clean tools with WOCA Solvent or turpentine.
