OLI-NATURA Yacht & Teak oil 

Weather-resistant hardwood oil with UV protection for the initial treatment and care of yacht decks, terraces, and garden furniture.

APPEARANCE & TEXTURE

The "OLI-NATURA Yacht & Teak Oil" in the "Natural" version is non-pigmented. Nevertheless, it distinctly emphasizes the grain and color of the wood. It approximates the color of untreated wood when it is wet.

The "OLI-NATURA Yacht & Teak Oil" in the "Teak" version is specially formulated with a pigment content tailored to hardwoods and exotic woods. Its purpose is to stabilize and subtly enhance the natural color tones of darker tropical woods. The pigments maintain the wood's structural pattern and provide improved UV protection.

The illustrations depict various wood types:

1. Untreated
2. Oiled in "Natural"
3. Oiled in "Teak"

Oil treatment should only be carried out at temperatures between 15 and 25 °C, as cold exterior wood does not absorb the oil well. Additionally, avoid working in direct sunlight and humid weather. Use cardboard or a film as a base to protect your floor from potential oil stains.

The wood must be clean, dry, and free of grease. For heavily soiled wood, it is recommended to clean it beforehand with OLI-NATURA Exterior Cleaner. Smooth any raised wood fibers and rough spots with fine sandpaper (grit 220) if necessary.

Shake/stir the container well before use. Apply the oil with a brush/flat brush or roller in the direction of the grain, evenly and thinly. Reapply to dry areas if needed. Polish off excess wet oil within 20-30 minutes with an oil-absorbent cloth or a white mini hand pad, and the surface should feel dry to the touch.

For heavily dried woods, a second application as described above can be done after drying overnight. Protect the wood from water and avoid damp maintenance during the curing time.

Consumption: 1-2 applications | Depending on the absorbency of the substrate, 40-80 g/m² per application (12-25 m²/l).

Drying: Depending on humidity and temperature, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours and fully cured after 2-5 days. Protect from water, do not clean when damp, and handle gently during this time. Drying time may extend in low temperatures and high humidity.

NOTE: Consumption depends on the wood type and the absorbency of the substrate.

CAUTION REGARDING SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION: Oil-soaked rags/pads can spontaneously ignite due to heat build-up! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them underwater. The product itself is not spontaneously combustible.
